Planning submitted for 62 new dwellings in Storrington

Planning drawings have been submitted by Wates Developments for a new development of 62 dwellings in Storrington, West Sussex.

The development allows for several open public green spaces and the entire site employs a sustainable drainage system. Houses are grouped in rural arrangements or courtyard clusters interconnected with tree lined roads that weave their way through the development. On the west side there is a small village green focal point, and to the east there is a community orchard as a reinstatement of a historical feature.

The outline scheme proposes up to 62 new homes (including affordable housing), a car club, community orchard, children’s play areas, and over 2ha of open space, creating a new sustainable development that complements the existing community in Storrington.
