Planning submitted for 200 new dwellings in Bolney

An outline planning application has been submitted for 200 new dwellings in Bolney, Mid Sussex, on behalf of Wates Developments. Proposals include a mix of private and affordable housing, a new purpose-designed community building in partnership with local charity Kangaroos.

The scheme includes over 9 ha of public open space (over 54% of the site), encompassing community orchards and allotments, outdoor educational space, children’s play areas and an outdoor gym.

The design has been driven by addressing local needs, such as the provision of access to quality informal and natural green spaces, purpose built community facilities, biodiversity enhancements, improved pedestrian permeability, and more affordable homes.
