Planning Consent in Surrey

Consent has been granted for the renovation of a 1970s home on the Godalming hill side. With subtle yet effective changes, we have maximised the potential of the existing building and significantly improving its thermal performance, without compromising the distinctive character of the original building.

A new staircase is proposed, connecting all levels, but acting as a focal, sculptural element within the house.

Additional living accommodation will be created through the introduction of a roof terrace. A modest extension is also proposed at the lowest ground floor level to enlarge the home office and provide a guest suite.

As part of the thermal upgrade the external finishes will be replaced with a new cladding system and all existing windows will be replaced.
