Wilford Road

Replacement of a retired office building with 6 contemporary apartments including duplexes overlooking the River Trent in Nottingham.

Referencing adjacent modern buildings the new proposed elevations are contemporary in the architectural language responding to the river frontage. The proposed building sets up a composition of balconies to the riverfront, reflecting the similar language and materials of the existing buildings to both sides.

This reinterpretation of immediate context is complemented by introduction of planting to the facades, which reflects the riverside and Victoria Embankment character, but also creates a pleasant environment for residents and enhances privacy.
