Viola Hill, South Downs National Park Viola Hill South Downs Re-Format was appointed to develop the detailed design of a large family house situated at the base of the Ashford Hangers Nature Reserve, within the South Downs National Park. Clad in charred timber, the form and rationality of the house reference traditional agricultural barn precedents through a contemporary design approach. The house is being constructed using Insulated concrete formwork to create a robust, air tight and energy efficient home.
