The Courtyard The Courtyard Petersfield Re-Format produced proposals for a mixed use scheme on a challenging site in the centre of Petersfield. The site is located next to a public car park, therefore privacy was an important factor in regards to the ground floor of the residential units. The concept and subsequent appearance is similar to that of a number of mews houses. At the same time stepping the building line and mixing up the materials creates visual interest. This culminates with a flourish on the corner of the building – an identifying element which is visible from all directions. Whilst the scheme is predominantly residential, there is also a small cinema and retail space which takes advantage of the adjacent public car park, both for transport links as well as existing passing footfall to activate this part of the site.
