Swift 360 Swift 360 Alton Re-Format were appointed to design the expansion of a manufacturing site on the edge of the South Downs National Park. The new facilities will accommodate manufacturing of medical PPE along with offices spaces and welfare facilities. Situated in the outskirts of Alton, the design takes into account the ecologically valued arable land of the local area, incorporates sustainable drainage design and strives to enhance the local biodiversity; giving back to the natural surroundings. Employees are encouraged to use the site’s meadow and green spaces. External materials were chosen to reference the existing barn style structures but allow for more openings to provide views out, connections with the surrounding landscape and promote the modern expanding business.
