Treloyhan Manor

St Ives

Re-Format has designed an innovative self-build scheme of 16 dwellings within the grounds of Treloyhan Manor Hotel on the dramatic Porthminster Point headland in St Ives.

A series of unit types were designed in order to standardise construction as far as possible whilst also responding to the challenging constraints of level changes and protected woodland areas on the site.

The overriding concept behind each of the various house types is a series of stacked and interlocking volumes which cascade down the undulating site.

Framed balconies provide glimpses out to sea through the trees and each house benefits from a generous open plan kitchen/dining space that flows out to a terrace and expansive gardens.

Following the granting of Planning Permission we are developing the detailed designs with many of the plot owners to deliver their custom build homes. A number of these houses have already commenced on site.
