Re-Format were responsible for the regeneration of a 1960s building in the heart of Chichester. The works included creating a new penthouse level and façade design whilst converting the building into residential accommodation. The building is located within the Chichester Conservation Area at a key ‘gateway’ location for visitors arriving by foot, train, bus or car. The original building had a bland appearance due to the monotony of its elevational treatments along with its distressed condition.

The key conceptual driver for the scheme was to create a well-proportioned building with animated facades that better respected its prominent ‘gateway’ location.
