High Stoke

Beauworth

Proposal for a rural dwelling based upon a farmstead vernacular on a site located in the heart of the South Downs National Park.

The dwelling is broken down into a collection of single and two storey pitched roof forms, linked by a single storey ‘planted’ flat roof element.

This contributes to a sense of spaciousness on the site and relates appropriately to neighbouring properties.

The materials palette will consist of natural slate roof tiles, vertical open jointed charred timber cladding over un-coursed field flint ground floor walls.

The landscape design was also a key factor on what is a generous plot. Planting will be enhanced across the site to create an enhanced and more bio-diverse landscape. This also includes an area for sheep grazing.
