Guildford College Guildford College Guildford, Surrey Re-Format was asked to produce a series of Masterplan Options to reinvigorate and transform the college by commercially utilising the unused areas of the campus. The proposed options set out to create open but secure stimulating buildings set within vibrant landscaped grounds, where students and departments can fully share facilities. The designs delivered wide flexible floor plates with efficient service-cores with dynamic public and social spaces. Strong, coherent architecture together with the bold use of materials, textures, signage and furniture produced a series of exciting learning environments which will attract students and the wider public creating a world class learning facility and a striking community hub for Guildford. The development proposals were shown to be self-funding through the sale of the underused areas of the estate. “I have been recommending Re-Format to a variety of clients over a number of years.
