Farm Cottage

Catherington

An extension and renovation of a 17th Century Farm Cottage within the Catherington Conservation Area. The original cottage is formed of facing brickwork and feature panels of flintwork under a plain clay tile roof.

The proposal replaces poorly conceived ‘modern’ extensions to the rear elevation with a contemporary intervention of glass and black zinc. The new extension and remodelling allows for the reorganisation of the existing kitchen/dining/family space and better connects the property to the rear walled garden.
