Bracknell

Bracknell

Berkshire

A new retirement community on Old Bracknell Lane East. The scheme will replace Floringham Lodge with 46 modern one- and two-bedroom apartments for people aged 60 and over.

At the heart of the development will be a welcoming reception with an on-site manager, a residents’ lounge, a guest suite for visitors, and safe storage for mobility scooters and cycles. Landscaped gardens will surround the buildings, with private patios for ground-floor apartments and shared outdoor spaces for all to enjoy.

The design responds to the site’s character, breaking the development into two linked “villas” to avoid a single uniform block. Traditional red brick, clay-style roof tiles, double gables, and dark-framed windows will echo Bracknell’s architectural heritage, while modern detailing and balconies create a fresh, attractive appearance.

This community is designed to offer independence with peace of mind, reducing the burden of maintaining a larger home while encouraging social connection. For Bracknell, it will bring lasting benefits by providing a new housing choice, supporting the local economy, and helping free up family homes in the area.
