Storrington Storrington West Sussex A new neighbourhood prepared for Wates Developments. The plan will deliver up to 62 new homes, including much-needed affordable housing, with a focus on sustainability, green space and community wellbeing. The design responds to local priorities, creating energy-efficient, future-proof homes with EV charging and solar panels. More than two hectares of open space will include wildflower meadows, a reinstated community orchard, children’s play areas and safe walking and cycling routes. At least ten percent biodiversity net gain will be achieved through new planting, ecological features and green corridors. Care has been taken to respect the village’s character and the nearby Grade II* listed West Wantley Farmhouse, with a landscape-led layout, lower-rise homes and extensive tree planting. Sustainable drainage, an on-site car club and improvements to public rights of way further support healthy, low-carbon living. This project represents a vibrant and sensitive extension to Storrington, combining high-quality homes with lasting benefits for the community and environment.
