Kathryn joined Re-Format in 2024 having recently moved back to Hampshire. She completed her architectural training at the University of Portsmouth and qualified as an architect in 2014.
With a wide range of experience having worked in both public (local authority) and private practice, she has gained a broad knowledge base: from the implementation of large education projects and major capital programmes of work, to smaller residential projects including listed buildings and high-end projects. In addition to this, Kathryn has also returned to the University of Portsmouth as a guest assessor for the Degree Apprentice course end point assessment.
Kathryn’s approach to architecture is holistic, context and landscape lead, prioritising environmental wellbeing and sustainability.
Aside from architecture, in 2008 she was awarded a scholarship at West Dean College to complete a post-graduate in visual art – painting and drawing.
A former world competition level black belt in karate, Kathryn’s interests nowadays are somewhat tamer and include gardening, yoga, and renovating her house with the help of her husband and two young boys.
