Lindfield Primary School

Lindfield

Overview
Re-Format’s winning design for this major enlargement of a West Sussex Primary School was generated by a thorough analysis of the current facilities and the needs and aspirations of all the relevant stakeholders. This produced a series of new structures that not only provide the required accommodation but regenerate and enhance the whole school.

The 1 form entry expansion necessitated an additional 7 classrooms, together with a new hall, learning resource and break-out space and staff room within a new curved extension which nestles against the mature tree-lined northern boundary of the site and faces the newly created external play areas. Three of the new classrooms are allocated to Reception Year pupils with large sliding pocket doors offering the ability for these spaces to be truly flexible and facilitate more creative environments for teaching and learning. In addition a new entrance building providing administration spaces and community facilities creates a new and inviting image for the school.

Testimonial
“Right from the tender stage of the project, Neil and his team were extremely helpful and diligent to develop an exciting scheme which helped to win the design and build project for Sunninghill Construction. They have continued this work ethic throughout the second stage tender and into the construction stage providing well considered and good design solutions. I would use Re-Format again and recommend them for any future school work.”
