Overview
Abbeyfield commissioned Re-Format to convert and extend the listed Hatch Mill buildings into a 36 bedded Care Home with Nursing. Sally Tidy, the Chief Executive Officer, noted that “Re-Format excelled in their performance with innovative designs to ensure the property’s full potential was reached.

The Care Home with Nursing was built around an old listed mill, therefore the new build had to be in keeping with the old, this was done in a very complimentary way whilst ensuring that maximum space was utilized. The large open spaces are appealing, light and bright whilst there are other smaller rooms to facilitate more private meetings. The home has been extremely popular with existing and prospective residents a lot commenting on its excellent design.

Testimonial
“The end result gives us great pride and pleasure. The greatest pleasure, and therefore the real sense of achievement, has been the reaction and reception which the Home and it’s facilities has received from the Residents and their families. You have helped us to create an environment and ‘feel’ in which Sally and her staff can provide the right atmosphere, comfort and homeliness.”
