Charter’s School Sports Hall

Sunningdale

Overview
This new sports hall was provided to enable the school to deliver the Council’s new sports diploma course. It is built on the site of 3 existing tennis courts, the curved roof appropriately evoking the trajectories of lobbed tennis balls. The location of the building seeks to contain the end of a large open car park on the school frontage and this position reinforces its availability for use by the local community. A reception entrance ‘pod’ anticipates the future addition of changing rooms.

Testimonial
“As Co-Headteacher of the largest school in the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead, it is a pleasure to endorse the work of Re-Format. It is critical to our success that we obtain the best quality professional services available within the fiscal restraints that will be imposed on schools in the next few years. Re-Format have provided excellent support throughout. Innovative design has been a real strength based on a fundamental understanding of how schools work.”
